Life Saving Incident

On March 11, 2025 Officers Zane Steele, DJ Mumaw and Keagan Graves responded to the scene of a stabbing at a local establishment. En-route to the scene they were informed that the stabbing victim was an employee of the establishment. They were told that he was suffering form severe wounds. Upon arrival and understanding the gravity of the situation Officers Mumaw and Steele quickly retrieved a medical bag and entered the establishment. Upon entering they were faced with a chaotic situation which involved numerous altercations that were taking place. Ignoring the surrounding circumstances they focused on the severely injured victim. Officer Graves located two severe stab wounds in the victim. The wounds were causing significant pain and difficulty breathing for the victim. Recognizing the severity of the wounds Officer Steele quickly retrieved two chest seals from the medical bag, He and Mumaw then applied them to the wounds. Meanwhile Officer Graves maintained a conversation with the victim in an attempt to keep the victim alert and to assist in the victims breathing. Upon the victim being removed to the parking lot area the officers were faced with continued chaos at the scene. The officers continued to remain composed while ensuring the victim who was stabilized until the arrival of EMTS. The victim was ultimately transported to the hospital. According to hospital staff the swift actions of the officers saved the life of the victim. The officers ability to assess the situation, locate the victim,and immediately administer medical aid resulted in the saving of the victim's life. They were commended for their professionalism, dedication and courage. They were awarded the life saving medal.

The history of law enforcement in the United States is a long and wonderful history of bravery. This website is dedicated to documenting the heroic deeds of law enforcement officers throughout the United States who have either given or risked their lives to save others. There are many stories of bravery and heroism for many who are considered first responders. However, it is those in law enforcement who are most likely to be the first to arrive upon a location requiring life saving acts engaging dangerous hostage takers, running into burning buildings/vehicles, providing first aid to seriously injured victims, saving near drowning victims and much more are what the women and men of law enforcement do routinely and at many times, great peril to their own safety.
It is our mission to document the history of lives saved by those dedicated women and men in law enforcement. To share with others the dramatic deeds of those individuals who are the first, first responders. It is so important for our citizens to understand that law "enforcement" is not always about enforcing the law but rather being there when our citizens need us.
It is to this end we are dedicated to promoting documentation regarding the history of law enforcement and the lives they have saved.
